FAQs

What is a macaron?

Per the Oxford Dictionary: "a small round cake with a meringue-like consistency, made with egg whites, sugar, and powdered almonds and consisting of two halves sandwiching a creamy filling."

Couldn't have said it better ourselves.

What sizes do you offer?

Our macarons are offered in a single flavor 3 pack, 5 pack or 12 pack. We also offer variety boxes that include multiple flavors. Variety packs come in Small (5 macarons) or Large (12 macarons).

How will my macarons be packaged?

3 pack macarons will be in a food safe, resealable cello bag. 5 pack and 12 pack macarons will be in a white gift box with a clear plastic sleeve and some pizzazz such as a ribbon, etc. Pizzazz may change seasonally but it will be good enough to gift.

If planning on storing the macarons for a longer period of time in your fridge or freezer, we would suggest wrapping them or transferring them to an air tight container to preserve maximum freshness.

How big are your macarons?

Our macarons are approximately 1.75" in diameter and usually around 1-1.5" tall.

What's in your macarons?

Our shells are typically made with almond flour, sugar (powdered and granulated) and egg whites (plus salt and Cream of Tartar). Our fillings will depend on the flavor but Swiss meringue buttercream and chocolate ganache are used quite frequently in our recipes. Some flavors will also contain add-ins such as homemade salted caramel, lemon or lime curd (also homemade), or crushed cookies, candy, jams, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Complete ingredients lists can be found on the packaged product.

Are macarons gluten-free?

Macaron shells are generally made from almonds, sugar and egg whites so are naturally gluten-free. However, some fillings may contain gluten such as cookies 'n cream. But please note that our macarons are made in a home based kitchen that is not gluten-free so we can not guarantee that our macarons are completely safe for those with allergies. Please see our Ingredients & Allergens page for more information.

How do I store my macarons? How long will they stay fresh?

Full care instructions can be found on our Macaron Care page.

How often do you change your flavors?

We strive to rotate flavors in and out of our menu on a regular basis. That was a bit of a non-answer but this is all pretty new for us so we will figure that out as we go. Much of this will be determined by demand but we love to create new flavors and keep it fresh and seasonal, so look for at least a few new flavors every month.

Why don't I see the flavor I ordered last time?

In an effort to keep our menu fresh and seasonal, we will need to rotate flavors in and out of our menu as we have limited production each week. Fair warning, if you find a fave, stock up (they freeze really well), since we don't know when it will be back. Send us a message if there is something you are looking for and we will try to get it back on the menu, or can talk about a custom order. We love to hear your requests and feedback!

Will limited edition flavors come back?

Best answer is maybe, maybe not. Our Limited Edition flavors tend to be seasonal so will likely change after a few weeks but we'll be constantly evaluating if something should take up permanent residency on our menu.

Do you have a store location?

No. At this time we are a home bakery that does not have a store location. We are available for pick-up or local delivery only and hope to participate in local farmer and community markets in the future. Follow us on social media for the latest events and news.

What is a Cottage Bakery?

Many states, including Minnesota allow registered food producers to make certain foods from their home to sell to the general public. Cottage bakeries and the like are regulated by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.

Do you ship your macarons?

No, unfortunately due to state law we are unable to ship our macarons locally or out of state.
